Who We Are

Founded in 1984, the Winners Foundation is a non-profit organization established to provide information, support and referral sources to employees and family member of the California horse racing community.

Our primary purpose is to assist men and women whose personal and professional lives, and those of their loved ones, are being adversely affected as a result of of substance abuse, compulsive gambling or mental health issues.

Winners Foundation has skilled and caring representatives at each of the California primary tracks as well as each of the racing fairs.

Who We Serve

Any employee or family member of the California thoroughbred horse racing community is eligible to seek our assistance and help free of charge.

This includes backstretch workers as well as all employees of Del Mar, Fairplex, Golden Gate Fields, Hollywood Park, Oak Tree, Santa Anita and the California Association of Racing Fairs.

What We Can Do For You

If you, or someone you know or work with, have a substance abuse, compulsive gambling or mental health problem, please contact us via telephone, email, or visit the Winners Foundation representative at your facility.

We will take the time to provide confidential assistance on a one-to-one basis. Each situation is given personal attention to best support an individual's desire to change their lives for the better.

Once the nature of the situation is determined, we will design a program to address those needs and to get life back on track.

Our goal is to help each client learn how to live and work without the destructive elements of substance abuse influencing their every decision.
